Slovak Government Approves RKN Global Europe’s 89 Million Euro Investment Proposal to Build Security Printing Plant in Banska Bystrica

Decision will lead to creation of 1,200 new jobs

RKN Global Europe announced today that the Slovak Republic has approved its 89 million euro investment plan for the design, development and construction of a state-of-the-art security printing plant in Banska Bystrica. The plant will produce an array of secure identity documents, including passports, drivers’ licenses, health and social services cards, and vehicle registration cards, as well as excise tax stamps, and will ultimately employ 1,200 people in Banska Bystrica.

“I applaud the Slovak Government for having taken today’s decision approving our investment proposal,” said Ronald K. Noble, founder and 100% owner of RKN Global. “The decision to build a state-of-the-art security printing facility in Banska Bystrica reflects our strong confidence in and commitment to Slovakia and its citizens as a core element of RKN Global’s operations,” added Mr. Noble. “We thank Prime Minister Robert Fico and the entire Government of Slovakia for their approval of our investment proposal. We also thank Banska Bystrica’s Mayor, Jan Nosko, and his team for their strong support of this important initiative.”

RKN Global Europe will begin construction of the state-of-the-art facility as soon as it receives the necessary approvals from Slovakia’s relevant government departments, private bank financing and the requisite construction permits. Construction is expected to take fourteen months, and production of secure identity documents will begin immediately thereafter.

“We are proud that the creation of this state-of-the-art security printing plant in Banska Bystrica will ultimately employ 1,200 persons and will enhance the economy of the whole region.” said Marjam Lindsbro, RKN Global’s Managing Director.
